I grew up watching the wonderful foals arrive at the original Kale's Arabians near Bothell, WA. *Silver Drift was still "king of the hill", and Tornado, the young, exotic son of *Bask, was just beginning to sire the champions that would make Kale's Arabians world famous. My husband and I remember the very first foals sired by *Muscat, and how the whole world wanted to see what the Russian horses really looked like. Could they really be as good as the rumors said they were? Well, the Kale horses have been inspiring my paintings and drawings for over 35 years.
